跪了! 陕西一村民用手榴弹砸核桃砸了25年!

On Dec. 5, a villager surnamed Ran in the town of Dongmu in Shaanxi province surrendered to police a tool he had used to smash walnuts for 25 years.

12月5日，陕西省东木镇一名姓冉的村民向警方上交了一个他用来砸了25年核桃的工具。

To police officers' surprise, the tool turned out to be a hand grenade.

让警察大吃一惊的是，这个工具竟然是一枚手榴弹。

Although the detonation device of the grenade was missing, no one knew whether it was equipped with explosives, Huashang Daily reported on Dec. 19.

据《华商报》12月19日报道，尽管这枚手榴弹的引爆装置不见了，但是没人知道里面是否还有爆炸物。

Ran was given the hand grenade when he worked in the town of Shuangqiao in 1991.

冉某是1991年在双桥镇工作的时候得到的这枚手榴弹。

The device's hard iron head made it a good tool for smashing walnuts. Ran has used this special utensil for 25 years.

这个装置的一头是一个坚硬的铁坨，砸起核桃来十分顺手。据悉，冉某已经用这个工具砸了25年核桃。

He didn't realize it was a hand grenade, which individuals are prohibited from possessing, until he received a leaflet describing the dangers of firearms and explosives.

他从没意识到这是一枚国家禁止个人持有的手榴弹，直到他后来收到一份描述强制弹药危险的传单。

Police criticized Ran's possession of the hand grenade as reckless.

当地警方对冉某持有手榴弹这一鲁莽行为进行了批评。
