H7N9: 中国禽流感死亡病例增至17例
Chinese officials reported one more death and an additional five infections from an outbreak of a deadly new form of avian flu.
中国官员披露说，H7N9禽流感新增一例死亡病例，五例感染病例。The official Xinhua news agency said Wednesday that the number of deaths from the H7N9 bird flu totaled 17, compared with 16 as of Tuesday evening. The number of infections rose to 82 from 77.
新华社周三报道说，H7N9禽流感死亡病例升至17例，较周二晚间的16例增加一例。感染病例从77例增至82例。Four of the new infections occurred in China's eastern Zhejiang province and one in the financial capital of Shanghai. Though there were signs over the weekend that the outbreak had spread to Beijing in the north and Henan province in the country's interior, the new cases occurred in the same portion of eastern China where the outbreak has been concentrated since it was first disclosed on March 31.

Xinhua said that five H7N9 patients had been discharged from hospitals. Among them was the 7-year-old girl in Beijing who on Saturday become the first confirmed case in the nation's capital.
