中国三大电信运营商将扩大4G服务
China's top three telecom operators unveiled their plans last Tuesday to improve 4G services as part of the country's efforts to update its information infrastructure.
上周二,我国三大电信运营商公布了提升4G服务的方案,以此作为我国致力于更新信息基础设施的一部分。China Mobile, the largest mobile telecom provider in the country, aims to build at least 300,000 4G base stations nationwide, covering a population of 1.35 billion this year. The company plans to add 200 million 4G users, bringing the total to 500 million.
我国最大移动通信供应商中国移动计划今年在全国新建至少30万处4G基站,覆盖人口13.5亿。该公司还计划新增4G用户2亿户,使其4G用户总量达到5亿户。China Unicom, another telecommunications heavyweight, will spend 75 billion yuan ($11.6 billion) to secure more 4G users. It also vows to lower service rates.
另一家电信运营巨头中国联通,则将投入750亿元(折合116亿美元)用于吸引更多4G用户。此外,中国联通还表示,将会降低服务资费。
Meanwhile, China Telecom, China's largest fixed-line service provider, is working to raise Internet connection speeds to at least 35 megabytes per second on average. One-third of China Telecom users will have access to rates between 50 and 100 megabytes.
同时,我国最大的固话服务供应商中国电信将努力把互联网连接速度提升至平均每秒至少35兆字节,其50-100兆字节速率宽带用户占比将达1/3。China had an online population of 688 million at the end of 2015, about half of the country's total population, according to a report by the China Internet Network Information Center.
根据中国互联网络信息中心的报告显示,截止2015年底,我国共有6亿8800万网民,这一数字几乎是国家总人口的一半。Another report released by the China Center for Information Industry Development showed that China has the world's largest population of mobile Internet users.
