我国首次太空授课Chinese Astronaut Gives First Space Lecture
Aspecial lecture began Thursday morning, given by a teacher aboard a spacemodule about 340 km above her students on Earth, the first such attempt byChinese.
一堂别开生面的太空授课在星期四的早晨开讲，主讲老师则在距离她的学生340公里远的航天器里，这是中国首次尝试太空授课。
Femaleastronaut Wang Yaping, one of the three crew members of Shenzhou-10 spacecraft,greeted about 330 primary and middle school students at a Beijing high school,through a live video feed system. "Hello, everyone. I am Wang Yaping. Iwill host the lecture today," she said, smiling towards the camera, onboard of the space module Tiangong-1.
女航天员在“天宫一号”中通过视频实时系统向在北京一所高中里的330名中小学生问候，她面带微笑地跟同学们打招呼：“大家好，我是王亚平，今天的授课将由我主讲。”
Thestudents on her class included children from migrant workers' families, ofethnic minorities and from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. They are gathering atthe High School Affiliated to Renmin University in Beijing. More than 60million students and teachers at about 80,000 middle schools across the countryare also watching the live broadcast on TV.
她班上的学生包括少数民族学生、进城务工人员随迁子女及港澳台地区学生代表，聚集在北京中国人民大学附属中学。全国八万余所中学六千余万名师生同步组织收听收看太空授课活动实况。
Thefirst section of the class was all about weight. Nie Haisheng, commander of thecrew, made a bit show of crossing his legs into a meditation sitting posture inthe air, which only a martial art master can do in the movies but is impossiblefor real people on the Earth."Thanks to the weightless condition,we are all masters," Wang joked.
授课的第一部分内容关于重力。指令长聂海胜双腿交叉，坐在空气中作沉思状，这只有在电影里的武林高手才能做到，但事实上这在地球上无法完成的。王亚平开玩笑道：有了这样的重力条件，我们都变成“身轻如燕”的武林高手了。
Then,she introduced the special scale on board of the orbiter, which was designed onbasis of the Newton's second law of motion, or measuring the mass of an objectthrough the net force and the acceleration.
接着，王亚平在航天飞船上介绍了一个特别的天平，它是根据牛顿第二定律设计的，可以根据物体的重力和加速度来测出物体的质量。
Thelesson is aimed at making space more popular, as well as inspiring enthusiasmfor the universe and science, according to Zhou Jianping, designer-in-chief ofChina's manned space program, who added that the lesson will also accumulateexperience for similar larger activities.
载人航天工程总设计师周建平认为，这堂特别的太空授课旨在使太空更受欢迎，激发人们对太空和宇宙的热情，他还认为这样的授课也会为类似的大型活动积累经验。
