Getting dressed up to go to a Lady Gaga concert is appropriate and fun. But actually dressing up as Lady Gaga to see Lady Gaga seems like an overkill.
打扮得漂漂亮亮去听Lady Gaga演唱会是很得体也很欢乐的事。可是打扮成Lady Gaga的样子去见Lady Gaga好像太过了。
Wearing a few rings is alright. But wearing rings on every finger is a complete overkill.
戴几个戒指很正常。但每个手指上都戴戒指，那简直太过了。
