第724期:​A long face真的不是大长脸, 如何用face表达你的情绪呢?

看到“A long face”，你的第一反应是什么呢？难不成是“长脸”的意思吗？ 其实“A long face”指的是“板着脸”、拉长着脸”、“不高兴”。

A long face = an unhappy or gloomy; feeling disappointed or depression

long face可不是“中式英语”，因为全人类不高兴时，恐怕都会拉长脸，所以，long face 并不是Chinglish哟！

Sara had such a long face yesterday after she learned that she failed her exam.

2014年被加入到牛津词典中

据牛津词典的解释：Someone's face when their lips are pushed outwards, especially in photographs.

Duck face（鸭嘴脸），

指的是 “噘嘴自拍的夸张表情”。嘟着嘴自拍

Emma is obsessed with taking duck face selfies. I've really had enough!

Emma痴迷于拍嘟嘴的自拍。我真是受够了！
